Introduction to SLA Commander (1/2 day)
Prerequisites:
Basic understanding of networked application, and application performance metrics.
Course Description:
Through labs and lecture, this course will introduce the concept of Active Application Monitoring
using OPNET SLA Commander. You will explore the Commander interface
and learn the use cases for Commander and the Commander "service
model." You will learn how to use dashboards, create reports, and
monitor Service Level Objectives with Commander.
Agenda:
- Creating a service model encompassing applications and their infrastructure components
- Near real-time availability and response time from the user's point of view
- Proactive alerting
- Creating custom dashboards
- Recording intermittent performance problems for further analysis in ACE Analyst
- SLO reporting
