Teaching with OPNET
OPNET IT Guru software provides a virtual environment for modeling, analyzing, and predicting the performance of IT infrastructures, including applications, servers, and networking technologies. OPNET products have been operationally proven in thousands of customer environments, including corporate enterprises, government and defense agencies, as well as network service providers. OPNET software is used by over 500 universities for teaching and research.
IT Guru - based lab exercises have been jointly developed by OPNET and Professor Raymond Panko of the University of Hawaii, to reinforce fundamental networking concepts taught in MIS university undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate programs.
Please follow the steps in order to start using the labs
Step 1: Choose the version of OPNET IT Guru that best fits your needs
- Download the academic version of IT Guru and follow the step-by-step software installation instructions to get started right away!
- Fill out an application to purchase the commercial version of IT Guru with technical support at substantially reduced academic prices.
Step 2: Download the labs
Each lab consists of a manual and IT Guru lab files. You can either download all 7 lab manuals (4.5MB) and all 7 IT Guru lab files (4MB), or you may download the manual and lab file for each individual lab below.
